We are pleased to announce we’ve had a very positive response to our Initiative Fund. This is a new project which offered £1000 to anyone who wished to develop an idea of benefit to SEVA members. The prize has gone to Morfudd Richards and Richard Cohen, who will be educating members of the on-trade about the wines of our region. Both Plumpton students, Morfudd has a distinguished career in catering, having worked at the Ivy and managed her own restaurant. Ric runs one of Brighton’s trendiest bars, and together they will organise events where hotel and restaurant professionals can meet to taste and discuss SEVA wines. This could be very pretty useful, as our vineyards are looking pretty good this year!

We need to get as much commercial support for this as we can, so if you are a commercial member willing to get behind this please let us know ASAP at southeastvineyards@gmail.com

Members with wines who have won an award at either the SEWOTY competition, or in other competitions, or by the Quality Wine Scheme are welcome to get involved. More details about the education sessions will follow as soon as we have them, or if you would like more details, please contact Morfudd Richards at morfudd.richards@mac.com.
